PROTECT YOUR EDGE CHECKING AGAINST DECLINED TRANSACTIONS

Don't risk the hassle, expense, and embarrassment of a declined card transaction due to insufficient funds.

Step 1: Link your Edge checking account with an Adventure Savings account or Personal Line of Credit. In the event of an overdraft, money will automatically transfer from your linked account to cover the transaction in your checking account. There is a $5 fee per overdraft transfer.

Step 2: If you do not have sufficient funds in your linked account to cover your transaction, Courtesy Pay may be available, if you request it. Call or text us today at 800-323-2129 to check your Courtesy Pay status or to enroll your account.

With your consent, Courtesy Pay will cover:

  • Written checks
  • Scheduled/recurring debit transactions
  • One-time debit card transactions
  • ATM withdrawals

Courtesy Pay is subject to a $35 fee per transaction.

If you are not yet a member of Adventure Credit Union, you are still welcome to apply for an Edge Checking account. We can easily process your application for Edge Checking and membership at the same time. Don't worry, our online application is secure, and it only requires a $5 deposit to your new accounts.

Adventure Credit Union provides multiple layers of protection to ensure you have the purchasing power you deserve all year long. The first line of defense is allowing overdraft transfers from a share account or line of credit. The next line of defense is Courtesy Pay.

Changes in federal regulations require Adventure to receive your consent before we cover overdrafts on items such as everyday debit and ATM transactions. If you have not told us that you want your overdrafts covered, you run the risk of having your debit card declined when you need it most. However, by giving us your consent, you will enjoy peace of mind knowing your credit union will pay your transaction in the event of an overdraft up to an approved limit for a fee. Call our Contact Center today at 800-323-2129 to enroll your account or stop into your local branch.

Yes! Select the appropriate account inside the Online or Mobile Banking. In the transaction history, locate the check transaction you wish to view and click on the check icon image. Depending on how the payee cashed or processed the check, not all checks may have an image.

Without parental approval, the legal age to open a checking account is 18. If you would like to open a checking for a minor, a form must be signed by both the minor and the parent or guardian on the account. To sign this form, stop into your local branch. Have additional questions? Give us a call or text at 800-323-2129.

To set up direct deposit you will need to give your employer or payroll provider our routing number (272480432) and your Adventure savings or checking account number. If you're employer requires a direct deposit form, stop into your local branch or give us a call at 800.323.2129 option 6 and we can provide you a form.

Yes, Adventure debit cards are compatible with ApplePay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay. Just follow the enrollment instructions for your digital wallet of choice.
