Financial Assistance For Your College Plans

We're Here To Help.

Your dreams of a college education are important to us. Our Dollars for Scholars Scholarship is a competitive scholarship awarded to high school seniors who are headed to an accredited college, university or trade school in the next academic year. To be eligible, students must be Adventure members or related to members, and that membership must be active for at least one year prior to applying.

Four winners will be chosen and scholarships of (2) $1,000 and (2) $500 will be awarded. Entry is by essay that explains the full meaning of the chosen topic (see below) and submit it to Adventure Credit Union through our website, click here for submission. Scholarship entry is available online only. Entry deadline is April 7, 2017.

  • High school seniors bound for college or vocational schools who are members or are related to a member of Adventure Credit Union with membership affiliation of at least one year prior to application.
  • Entry is by essay that explains the full meaning of the chosen topic

  • The amount of the scholarship award will be paid to the recipient to provide financial assistance to the recipient in their pursuit of an undergraduate degree at an accredited trade school, college, or university.
  • Winners will be selected by an independent committee.
  • The 2017 Dollars for Scholars Scholarship essay topic is: "Who or what inspires you?"
  • Winners will be selected by an independent committee.
  • All entries are submitted to the committee with no identifying marks or symbols which show either the name of the applicant or school they attend.
  • The scholarship committee’s principal determining factor in selecting award recipients is the applicant’s passion for the topic.
  • The committee will use the following criteria in judging responses to the topic: comprehension of subject, organization, language use, originality, clarity, spelling and grammar. Scholarship recipients will be selected without regard to their race, religion or gender.
