Credit Card Upgrade
Activate your new MasterCard on 7/28!
- New contactless MasterCard
- New rewards program
- New online & mobile access
Action is required!
The switch to MasterCard takes place on Monday, July 28th
If you haven't already, please activate and begin using your new MasterCard credit card. You will also need to update your required monthly payment (to Adventure) and auto-pays for subscriptions, utilities, and more!
Paying your MasterCard Bill
Action Required: Please log in to digital banking to reestablish your required monthly payments. From the “Move Money” page within digital banking, you can set up one-time or recurring payments from an Adventure share account or an external bank account.
Note: If you had automatic payments set up for your “old” VISA credit card, they will NOT be applied to your new MasterCard. Failure to set up a new payment may result in late payment fees, accrued interest, and/or damage to your credit rating.
Subscriptions & Recurring Payments
Because your new MasterCard has a different card number, you must update any subscription services, recurring payments, or online accounts where your card information is stored.
Any transactions attempting to post to your VISA credit card will be declined. Here are some common examples to get you thinking...
- Subscriptions: Amazon Prime, Netflix, gym, etc.
- Recurring payments: Cell phone, utilities, internet, insurance, etc.
- Online shopping: Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Apple.com, etc.
Online Access
Simply log in to our digital banking site or mobile banking app! Your new MasterCard will now appear on the main screen alongside your other Adventure accounts and loans. You’ll be able to make payments and view transactions with the click of a button.
Monthly Statements
Starting with the July statement cycle, which mails at the beginning of August, all credit card statements will be sent by USPS mail. If you receive your membership account statement by mail, your credit card statement will be in the same envelope.
To opt-in for electronic statements, please update your deliver preferences in digital banking.
Card Controls App
Take your card security to the next level by downloading our new Card Controls mobile app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. This new app allows you to set up rules to automatically block certain types of transactions and create highly customized transaction alerts.

- We’re switching from VISA to MasterCard to offer our members enhanced card benefits, expanded features, and access to broader payment technology options.

- Just like VISA, MasterCard is accepted by over 99% of US Merchants that take credit card payments.
- Through MasterCard, we will continue to provide the secure, reliable, and convenient service you expect.
How do contactless payments work?
- Contactless payments allow you to tap your card near a payment terminal instead of swiping or inserting it. It utilizes secure Near Field Communication (NFC) technology to transmit payment information instantly and securely. Just look for the contactless symbol at checkout, hold your card within a few inches of the reader, and you’re good to go—fast, easy, and secure.
Can I add my new card to my digital wallet?
- Yes, however, this functionality will not be supported until August 5, 2025. At that time, your new MasterCard can be added to digital wallets like Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Wallet. Once added, you can make secure purchases with your phone or smartwatch—no need to carry your physical card. Just follow the prompts in your device’s wallet app to get started.
Why does my name and card number appear on the back?
- This design is part of a modern security and style update. Placing your name and card number on the back helps protect your personal information by reducing exposure during everyday use. It also allows for a cleaner, more streamlined look on the front of your card.
